Jason Capodanno has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Jason currently serves as the Managing Director of VerAvanti Inc, where they are responsible for managing daily operations, overseeing the nanofabrication laboratory and cleanroom, and developing business processes to transition R&D projects into manufacturing. Additionally, Jason leads process, procurement, and manufacturing engineering activities, as well as contributes to strategic business strategies for growth and overall company success.
Prior to their current role, Jason worked as the Project Manager and Owner of R&R Century Homes, where they handled property management, renovation, procurement, budgeting, leases, and marketing for residential rentals.
Jason also has substantial experience at Philips, serving as a Senior Procurement Engineer and Project Manager, where they managed supplier relationships and contracts, oversaw part and assembly quality, and facilitated DFx workshops to improve quality and costs. Additionally, Jason worked as a Mechanical Design Engineer and Project Manager for Philips Healthcare, focusing on mechanical engineering support, end-of-life part changes, and redesigns.
Earlier in their career, Jason held positions at Micronics, a bio-tech company, as a Senior Design and Lead Engineer, and at Microsurgical Technologies as an Engineering Consultant, specializing in the design and prototyping of eye surgical tools.
Jason's early career also includes roles as a Manufacturing Engineer at Verathon, and as a Design for Manufacturing Engineer at Spiration, where they contributed to the manufacturing processes and design optimization of medical devices.
Jason Capodanno has studied Bioengineering at the UC San Diego Jacobs School of Engineering and has also completed a Bachelor's degree in Bioengineering from UC San Diego.
