Alicia Shen

Alicia Shen has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and companies. Alicia began their career as an Assurance Intern at PwC, where they conducted year-end financial statement audits and ensured procedural compliance. Alicia then moved on to Pudong Science and Technology Investment Co., Ltd as an Investment Management Intern, specializing in RMB/US Dollar Investment, conducting research and presenting complex findings in easily understandable terms.

Alicia joined Bluewolf, an IBM Company, as a Junior Accountant, managing global travel and expense processes and contributing to financial statement audits. Alicia later became a Senior Accountant at the same company, supervising a team and managing monthly GL reclassifications and intercompany cost allocations.

At VTS, Alicia served as an Accounting Manager, facilitating post-merger transitions and establishing accounting processes and policies. Alicia also took on the role of Assistant Controller, leading successful implementations of financial systems, managing equity activities, and mentoring a team.

Currently, Alicia is working at Vercel as the Controller and Sr. Director of Business Operations, overseeing financial operations and strategic planning. Overall, Alicia has demonstrated expertise in finance and accounting, strong leadership skills, and a track record of optimizing processes and controls.

Alicia Shen completed their education in 2012, earning a Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Business/Management from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics in 2011. In addition to their degrees, Alicia has obtained several certifications including Salesforce Certified Service Cloud Consultant, Certified Public Accountant, Certified Salesforce Administrator, and CMA (Certified Management Accountant) between 2015 and 2016.
