Erik Westling has worked in the engineering field since 2008. Erik began their career as a Research Assistant at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. In 2010, they joined ZeaChem Inc. as a Process Development Engineer, where they were responsible for identifying, testing and developing new processes to improve business models for integrated biorefineries using cellulosic feedstocks. Erik was also responsible for specifying equipment design, obtaining quotes and calculating preliminary capital and operating costs. In 2013, they became a Process Engineer at Jacobs and Process Development Lead at ZeaChem Inc. In 2014, they joined Membrane Technology and Research, Inc. as Director of Engineering Services, Engineering Services Manager and Commissioning Engineer & Process Engineer. In 2022, they began working as Director of Chemical Engineering at Verdagy and Director Of Engineering at Coreshell Technologies, Inc.
Erik Westling obtained a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley between 2007 and 2010. In December 2013, they obtained an Engineer-In-Training certification from the NCEES.
