Christopher Wei, PE, CEM, LEED AP, Fitwel Amb., has an extensive work experience in the field of engineering and sustainability. Christopher is currently serving as the Vice President of Engineering at Verdani Partners, overseeing technical projects and providing support for green building certifications. Prior to this role, Christopher held positions as the Senior Director of Engineering, Director of Engineering, Senior Energy Engineer, and Energy Engineer at Verdani Partners, where they conducted energy audits, provided benchmarking support, and offered technical expertise for sustainability programs. Before joining Verdani Partners, Christopher worked as an Energy Researcher at DNV KEMA Energy & Sustainability. Christopher began their career at Luk & Associates as an Engineer Intern, where they performed AutoCAD drafting for land development plans. In addition to their engineering work, Christopher has experience as a Field Engineer Specialist and Field Service Technician at Technical Safety Services, where they provided inspection, testing, and technical support for HVAC systems, cleanrooms, and laboratory equipment in the biotech, healthcare, and pharmaceutical industries. Overall, Christopher Wei's work experience demonstrates their expertise in engineering, sustainability, and technical support for green building initiatives.
Christopher Wei, PE, CEM, LEED AP, Fitwel Amb., completed their education with a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Energy Engineering from The University of Hong Kong, which they obtained from 2013 to 2015. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Davis, where they studied from 2004 to 2009.
In addition to their formal education, Christopher Wei holds several certifications. Christopher is a Professional Engineer (PE) registered by the State of California, a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) granted by the Association of Energy Engineers. Their PE certification was obtained in June 2018, while their CEM certification was earned in October 2017.
