Nicholas Fruge

Nicholas Fruge has had several notable roles throughout their work experience. Nicholas is currently the Director of Operations at Verdant Technologies, starting in June 2023. Prior to this role, they worked at Caresfield, where they held the positions of Vice President Operations and Product Management from February 2022 to March 2023, and Senior Director of Product Management from January 2021 to April 2022. At Caresfield, Nicholas demonstrated strong leadership skills, managing and holding direct reports accountable in various departments, and was responsible for annual S&OP planning and P&L management. Nicholas also played a significant role in vetting new products, conducting market research, and establishing market trends.

Before joining Caresfield, Nicholas worked at TA Instruments, starting in 2006. Nicholas held the position of Research and Product Development Director from June 2013 to January 2021, where they led managers in developing and implementing the overall product strategy and vision for the organization. Nicholas also formulated and executed long-term business development plans and evaluated project viability using NPV, ROI, and market analysis tools. Prior to this role, they served as the Business Unit Leader for Customer Service from October 2008 to June 2013, where they were responsible for product management, marketing plans, and specific pricing strategies for international markets. Nicholas also contributed to the creation of operations and manufacturing processes for aftermarket products. Nicholas's work at TA Instruments began as a Field Service Engineer from October 2006 to October 2008, where they developed key customer accounts and played a role in developing annual service contracts and technical support.

Nicholas's work experience also includes a role as an Application Engineer at Deltak LLC from December 2004 to October 2006. In this position, they were responsible for engineering proposal follow-up, preparing engineering packages, and soliciting proposals from vendors.

Nicholas Fruge began their education at Macalester College, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Mathematics from 1998 to 2002. Nicholas then went on to the University of Minnesota and obtained a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (BME) degree in Mechanical Engineering, completing their studies from 2002 to 2004.

Afterwards, Nicholas pursued further education at the University of St. Thomas - Opus College of Business. From 2008 to 2013, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, specializing in Finance, Strategy, and Leadership.

In addition to their formal education, Nicholas Fruge has also obtained several certifications. In 2004, they obtained the EIT (Engineer in Training) certification from NCEES. More recently, in 2021, they acquired the Medical Device Quality Management System - ISO 13485 certification from Greenlight Guru.
