Gilbert Benavides, J.D.

Gilbert Benavides, J.D. has held a variety of roles in the public and private sectors. From 1998 to 2002, they worked as a Legislative Analyst and Liaison for the Texas State Comptroller. Gilbert then moved on to serve as a Legal Adviser on Public Policy for the Mexican Consulate from 2002 to 2004. In 2004, they began working as the Director of Government and Public Affairs for a law firm. In 2008, they became the VP of Government Relations for Verity Global, LLC. From 2009 to present, they have held two positions simultaneously: Co-Founder and COO of Verdtek Inc., and Director of Government Relations for Titan Solutions.

Gilbert Benavides, J.D. began their education at The University of Texas at Austin, where they earned a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from 1993 to 1996. Gilbert then attended the University of Texas at Brownsville, where they earned a B.A. in History with a minor in Spanish from 1996 to 1998. Finally, they attended South TX College of Law, where they earned their Juris Doctor (J.D.) in Law from 2000 to 2003.
