Guillermo worked at Fundación Fuentes Dutor from April 2013 to April 2014, where they designed a device for controlled drug delivery using nanotechnology, with a focus on the ear. At Universidad Pública de Navarra, they designed, built, and programmed a sumo robot for their final year project from September 2011 to September 2012. Guillermo also had a summer internship in robotics at the University of Hertfordshire's Adaptive Systems Research Group from June 2011 to August 2011, where they provided a humanoid robot, KASPAR, with tactile artificial skin using FSR pressure sensors and an Arduino board. Moreover, Guillermo obtained a CSIC Introduction to Research Grant and worked at IRI (Industrial Robotic Institute) in Barcelona from June 2010 to August 2010, where they redesigned the foot of a Robonova humanoid robot to enhance its ability to sense pressure.

Additionally, Guillermo served as a Corresponsal Juvenil at Casa de la Juventud de Pamplona from September 2005 to June 2007. In this role, they collaborated with a partner to inform fellow students about various opportunities, such as grants, scholarships, trips, and exchanges, and maintained an informational panel in the educational center.
