Ismet Burak Kadron has a diverse work experience in the fields of research and teaching. Ismet Burak started their career as a Research Engineer at AirTies Wireless Networks in 2013 and worked there until 2015. Ismet Burak then joined Bogazici University as a Teaching Assistant from 2015 to 2016.

In 2016, Ismet commenced their graduate studies at UC Santa Barbara, where they worked as a Graduate Student Researcher and Research Assistant under the supervision of Prof. Tevfik Bultan. During this time, they contributed to the detection of side channel vulnerabilities using black-box testing and software profiling techniques on the DARPA STAC program. Ismet Burak also served as a Teaching Assistant at UC Santa Barbara from 2016 to 2018.

In 2018, Ismet gained further research experience through a Research Internship at Carnegie Mellon University Silicon Valley. Here, they worked on generating valid inputs and fuzzing techniques to detect side channel vulnerabilities on the DARPA STAC program under the guidance of Dr. Corina Pasareanu.

Continuing their research endeavors, Ismet joined NASA Ames Research Center in 2020 as a Research Intern. Ismet Burak worked on undisclosed projects during their tenure.

Most recently, in 2022, Ismet began working as a Research Scientist at Veridise, where their current role and responsibilities have not been specified.

Ismet Burak Kadron completed their education in a chronological manner. Ismet Burak attended Turgutlu Halil Kale Fen Lisesi from 2006 to 2010 for their high school education. Ismet Burak then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Boğaziçi University, studying from 2010 to 2014. In 2012 and 2013, they furthered their studies in Computer Science at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne). Lastly, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computer Science from UC Santa Barbara, where they studied from 2016 to 2022.
