Sherri Russell

Sherri Russell is the current Chief Financial Officer at Veriforce. Prior to their current position, they served as the Chief Financial Officer at StackPath from September 2017 to April 2021. During their time at StackPath, Sherri successfully implemented a number of financial operations including an overhaul of the NetSuite set-up and corresponding processes, which decreased the time to close the books from over 30 days to 9 days. Sherri also successfully completed the divestiture of the company's consumer VPN business in Q2'19 and led the road show and equity raise of $165M in Q4'19. In addition, Sherri oversaw the implementation of a sales commission plan restructuring, detailed pipeline management, funnel analytics, and a "smart spending" approach to expenses. Furthermore, they cleaned up integration efforts to consolidate systems after five previous acquisitions and executed the sixth acquisition in May 2018, integrating the Accounting and HR functions within three months. Throughout their time at StackPath, Sherri focused on driving efficiency and automation in the back-office processes to enable the financial operations to scale rapidly with the company growth. Sherri also overhauled the financial reporting to track and report financials at the necessary level of detail and in alignment with leaders' responsibilities to drive accountability. Additionally, Sherri implemented new revenue recognition rules for ASC 606 and new lease guidance ASC 842. Sherri also drove successful remediation actions to address 2016 audit weaknesses and finished complex 2018 and 2019 audits with no deficiencies. Furthermore, they implemented stronger internal controls, particularly asset and cash management. Finally, they designed and built the first generation of company-wide BI dashboards and KPI reports centered on revenue growth and attribution metrics.

Sherri Russell has an MBA in finance from Texas A&M University - Mays Business School and a BBA in accounting from the same school.
