Katie Labounko

Katie Labounko is an experienced software engineer with a strong background in both software development and engineering. At Meta, Katie held the position of Senior Software Engineer from May 2022 to May 2023. Prior to that, Katie served as Principal Software Engineer at Cambridge Mobile Telematics from April 2019 to May 2022, focusing on improving driver behavior and enhancing road safety. Katie also worked at Amazon as a Software Development Engineer from July 2015 to April 2019, contributing to the development of the next generation of Alexa-enabled devices, and completed a Software Development Engineer Internship at Amazon in the summer of 2014. Earlier experience includes serving as an Undergraduate Researcher at the MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory from May 2013 to May 2014, where Katie developed innovative courseware, including simulators and data visualization tools. Katie holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Materials Science from MIT.
