Piet Barber has a diverse work experience spanning over different industries. Piet started their career as a Computer Intern at NACUBO in 1994. Piet then worked as a Systems Administrator at SAIC from 1995 to 2000. During this time, they gained expertise in managing internal systems and FreeIPA authentication systems for internal customers. In 2000, Piet joined VeriSign as a Director, leading a team of systems administrators responsible for maintaining internal Operating Systems build systems. Piet also played a crucial role in reviewing and executing deployments of software used by name servers for .COM and . Later, in 2000, they briefly worked as a Senior Engineer at Network Solutions. In 2015, Piet pursued their passion for aviation and became an FAA-Designated Pilot Examiner, working as a freelance professional.
