Sean Mountcastle has a diverse work experience in the tech industry. Sean started their career as a Research Scientist at the Naval Research Lab from 1996 to 1999. Sean then joined Cisco Systems, Inc. in 1999 and worked as a Technical Leader, where they contributed to the development of various networking products and served as the software release manager for a specific platform. In 2006, they joined Verisign as a Senior Engineering Manager and gradually progressed to become the Director of Infrastructure Engineering, Senior Director of Product Engineering, and eventually the Vice President of Product Engineering. At Verisign, they led large engineering organizations responsible for critical Internet infrastructure, development of software systems, and establishment of engineering best practices. Sean'sareas of expertise include DNS resolution systems, DDoS mitigation services, monitoring and automation, and agile software development.
Sean Mountcastle earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from The Catholic University of America, graduating in 1997. Sean then pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from George Mason University, completing it in 2003.
