Nabeel Azar is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in data and analytics, currently serving as Chief Architect at Verisk since December 2012, where responsibilities include leadership roles such as Chief Data Officer for Energy & Specialized Markets at Wood Mackenzie and Chairman of the Verisk Data Science Excellence Program. Nabeel has a strong background in the payments industry and consumer spend behavior, with a focus on new products, services, innovations, and merchant analytics. Prior to Verisk, Nabeel founded ILATIVE, LLC, specializing in analytical products, and held key positions at Nomura Securities and Lehman Brothers in quantitative analytics. Nabeel's earlier roles include Chief Technology Officer at Consumer Finance Advisor, Inc., and Assistant Vice President at ITG, alongside development positions at The MathWorks. Nabeel holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Bioengineering from The Johns Hopkins University, along with a minor in Mathematical Sciences.
