General Vincent “Vince” Brooks is a retired career U.S. Army officer with more than four decades of leadership experience navigating some of the world’s most complex and challenging situations. His insights help Verisk develop leading-edge advancements that solve our customers’ toughest challenges, anywhere in the world.
Currently, General Brooks is a principal with WestExec Advisors, a geopolitical business advisory firm. He is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
General Brooks retired from active duty in 2019 as a four-star general. From 2016 to 2018, he was the commander of all U.S. forces in Korea, leading the United Nations Command and the Republic of Korea – U.S. Combined Forces Command, comprising more than 650,000 Korean and American soldiers.
General Brooks is a visiting senior fellow with the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, a distinguished fellow at the University of Texas for both the Clements Center for National Security and the Strauss Center for International Security and Law.
He holds an MMAS (master of military art and science) from the U.S. Army School of Advanced Military Studies and a BS in engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
General Brooks also serves on the boards of Jacobs, Diamondback Energy, the Gary Sinise Foundation, and the Korea Defense Veterans Association.
