Jon McCurdy

Jon McCurdy is an experienced finance professional specializing in distressed credit management and commercial asset resolution. Currently serving as Senior Vice President in the Special Assets Group at Veritex Community Bank since March 2025, Jon previously held a similar role at PNC where expertise as a Commercial Asset Expert was demonstrated through successful navigation of complex credit situations. Over a 14-year tenure at BBVA in the USA, Jon achieved significant results, managing portfolios of over $1 billion in credits and successfully resolving sophisticated distressed loans. Prior experience includes roles at Compass Bank and Comerica Bank, with a strong foundation in commercial real estate and middle market lending. Jon holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the SMU Cox School of Business.
