Albert Yan

Albert Yan has a diverse range of work experience, beginning with their current position as an Analyst at Verition Fund Management LLC, which started in December 2022. Prior to this role, they worked as an Associate at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation from September 2020 to November 2022. Albert also gained experience as a Summer Analyst in Sales & Trading at Deutsche Bank in June 2019-August 2019. In addition, they worked as an Analyst at Willis Towers Watson from June 2016 to July 2017. Furthermore, they participated in the Citi Financial Innovation Application Competition and interned at CITIC Securities Company Limited in 2016. Albert was also a Research Assistant at the International Finance Forum (IFF) in April 2015-June 2015, and interned at Morgan Stanley in July 2014-August 2014.

Albert Yan completed their Master's degree in MSFE from Columbia University, which they attended from 2018 to 2020. Prior to that, they obtained a B.S. in Applied Mathematics (Statistics) and a B.A. in Economics from Wuhan University, where they studied from 2012 to 2016. In 2014 and 2015, Albert studied as a visiting student at Harvard University, focusing on Economics. Additionally, they have completed various certifications, including "Divide and Conquer, Sorting and Searching, and Randomized Algorithms" from Stanford University in January 2020, "Deep Learning" from deeplearning.ai in April 2019, and multiple Coursera course certificates in topics such as databases, machine learning, and Python programming, obtained in 2016.
