Ziquora Banks

Chief Impact Strategy Officer at Verity Credit Union

Ziquora is responsible for overseeing Verity's Community Impact Team, which focuses on community fund grants, community impact projects, financial well-being, and related initiatives to advance Verity's Community Impact agenda. With over a decade of experience working in various community and member-focused roles at well-known financial institutions, Ziquora brings a deep understanding of building equity and empowering historically excluded communities. Her dedication to creating social change and improving lives led her to transition from the director of community relations to the role of Chief Impact Strategy Officer at Verity, where she works towards measurable positive outcomes and stronger communities in Washington State. Ziquora connects the aspirations of donors, volunteers, and advocates with community needs, nurturing and managing relationships to mobilize resources for meaningful engagement.

Ziquora is committed to helping communities repair and heal their relationships with money, fostering a shift from a scarcity mindset to one that embraces abundance. By removing barriers, aligning goals, and meeting individuals where they are, she believes in partnering together to co-create visions of prosperity as defined by each community.

Prior to joining Verity, Ziquora served as the AVP of DEI & Strategic Partnerships at Seattle Credit Union, where she established strategic partnerships in BIPOC, immigrant and refugee, and LGBTQIA+ communities to enhance access to inclusive financial products and programs. She also focused on fostering an inclusive culture for BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ staff through the creation of the credit union's first Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). Ziquora's career in the financial sector began to flourish at USAA and BECU, where her love and passion for community deepened. She holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Business Administration from Colorado Technical University and has obtained a Diversity & Inclusion Certificate for Intercultural/Multicultural and Diversity Studies from Cornell University.
