Carol B. Tomé

Director at Verizon

Ms. Tomé is the CEO of United Parcel Service, Inc., the world’s largest package delivery company and a premier provider of global supply chain management solutions. Previously, Ms. Tomé was Chief Financial Officer of Home Depot, one of the world’s largest retailers, from 2001, and Executive Vice President – Corporate Services from 2007, until her retirement in 2019.

Ms. Tomé’s role as CEO of UPS and her previous executive roles at Home Depot provide the Board with highly valuable financial and strategic planning expertise. She also brings to the Board deep experience in growing and innovating at both consumer and B2B businesses with large geographic footprints and employee bases. In addition, her broad leadership experience provides the Board with critical perspectives on Verizon’s strategic planning and business opportunities.

Ms. Tomé has served as a director of UPS since 2003. Prior to her appointment as CEO at UPS, she served on the Boards of Directors of Verizon and Cisco Systems, Inc. in 2020, and served as a Trustee of certain Fidelity funds during 2017. She also served as a director of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta from 2008 to 2013.
