Matthew Thomas

Matthew Thomas is the Associate Director at Verizon, where they monitor and support network functionality for a global network of over 10,000 devices. Previously, they served as a Senior Manager and held various engineering roles, including Supervisor and Engineer III in Network Engineering and Operations. Matthew began their career as a Network Operations Center Engineer at Cogent Communications, handling metropolitan ring outages and contributing to the construction of a nationwide OC-192 Dark Fiber Network. They earned a degree in Networking and Cybersecurity from the University of Maryland University College between 2018 and 2021.
