Maria Roney

Maria Roney currently serves as the Head of Localization at Verkada, a position held since October 2022. Prior to this role, Maria accumulated extensive experience at Houzz from November 2015 to October 2022, where positions included Internationalization Program Manager, Product Operations Manager (International), and International Product and Localization Specialist. Additional experience includes a role as Localization Specialist at Wish from August 2017 to September 2018 and as a Data and Content Associate at Vacatia from October 2014 to December 2015. Maria began her career as a Social Media Coordinator at Startup Socials in mid-2014. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Business Management from Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, a Product Management Certificate from Cornell University, a Localization Project Management: CAT Tools Certificate from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey, and a Bachelor's Degree in Linguistics from Kostroma State University named after N.A. Nekrasov, along with studies at Stanford Continuing Studies and City College of San Francisco.
