Peter Lobel

Peter Lobel is a seasoned mechanical engineering professional with extensive experience in product design and management. Currently serving as Manager of Mechanical Engineering at Verkada since March 2019, Peter oversees a team of Product Development and Manufacturing Engineers across the Bay Area and Taipei, driving advancements in mechanical design and manufacturing for various camera programs. Peter has played a pivotal role in leading product development architecture for new product introduction (NPI) programs and establishing supplier relationships in Taiwan and Southeast Asia. Prior to this role, Peter worked as a Product Design Mechanical Engineer at Verkada, where responsibilities included full cycle mechanical design and managing new product builds. Past experiences also include positions at Speck Products and Lighthouse AI, as well as internships and assistant roles during educational pursuits in Mechanical Engineering at Dartmouth College and the Thayer School of Engineering.
