Jürg Widmer

Jürg Widmer is a seasoned information technology professional with extensive experience in various roles related to IT system engineering and security. Currently serving as Chief Information Security Officer at Verkehrsbetriebe Luzern AG since May 2022, Jürg has also been contributing as an Application Developer at itcrm since April 2017. Previous positions include IT System Engineer at Wirth & Co. AG from June 2020 to April 2022, IT Project Manager at 4B AG, and a long tenure as IT System Engineer at Steinhof Pflegeheim AG from August 2010 to August 2018. Jürg's career began as an IT-Systemadministrator at Alfred Müller AG, followed by IT System Engineer roles at Freytelecom AG. Recently, Jürg pursued further education in Cyber Risk Management at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, expected to complete in December 2023.
