Experience Design Director at Vermilion Design + Digital

Paul Richard has had a varied and extensive work experience. Starting in 2007, they served as the Deputy Squadron Commander and Ground Search and Rescue Officer for the United States Air Force Auxiliary. In this role, they performed ground search and rescue operations, served as Executive Officer, and managed and directed over 40 cadets. In 2012, they worked as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Colorado Boulder. In 2014, they worked as a User Experience Consultant for The Colorado Mountain Club, a Web UX + Digital Usability Consultant for Freelance, and a Development Coordinator (Intern) for Butterfly Pavilion. Since 2015, they have been the Experience Design Director and User Experience Designer for Vermilion Design + Digital. As Vermilion's User Experience Designer, they work throughout the discovery, research, content strategy, information architecture, visual design, and build processes to ensure that their websites are simple, intuitive, and meet the needs of target audiences.

Paul Richard has two Bachelor's Degrees from the University of Colorado Boulder in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and Psychology. In addition, they have obtained several certifications, including a Duolingo Spanish Fluency: Advanced (Estimated) certification in October 2015, Incident Command System and Emergency Management Certifications (34) from FEMA in October 2014, and Design and Front-end Development Certificates from Treehouse Inc. in 2014.
