Kirsty Purnell

Kirsty Purnell is a seasoned geologist with extensive experience in the energy sector. Currently serving as a Senior Geologist at Vermilion Energy since August 2023, Kirsty has held prominent roles including Senior Geoscientist at INEOS from April 2020 to August 2023, and Geoscientist at Ineos Oil and Gas UK from January 2018 to April 2020. Previous positions include Geoscientist and Junior Geoscientist at DONG Energy, where Kirsty started as an intern in Exploration Geoscience. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Petroleum Geoscience and a Master's degree in Geological and Earth Sciences from Imperial College London, complemented by foundational education at Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School.
