Jennifer Emens-Butler

Jennifer Emens-Butler currently serves as General Counsel and Director of Closing at the Vermont Economic Development Authority since January 2022. Prior to this role, Jennifer was the Director of Education and Communication for the Vermont Bar Association from June 2016 to January 2022 and a Partner at Obuchowski & Emens-Butler, PC, where practice focused on bankruptcy, representing debtors, creditors, and trustees from January 1998 to June 2016. In addition, Jennifer was an Adjunct Professor at Vermont Law School from 2008 to 2015 and served as a Law Clerk at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court from June 1995 to December 1997. Jennifer holds a JD, cum laude, from Vermont Law and Graduate School (1995) and a BA in Political Science and Environmental Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (1992).
