Janet Besser

Janet Besser is a board member at the Vermont Energy Investment Corporation. Janet has previously worked as the Vice President of Policy and Government Affairs at the New England Clean Energy Council and as Vice President of Regulatory Strategy and Policy at National Grid. Janet has also worked as a consultant at Analysis Group.

Janet has dedicated their career to promoting clean energy initiatives across New England. At the New England Clean Energy Council, they led a team that advocated for policies to advance the region's clean energy economy, including efficiency, renewables and advanced technologies. At National Grid, they oversaw all regulatory and commercial policy issues for the company's transmission business.

Janet's experience in the energy sector makes their a valuable asset to the Vermont Energy Investment Corporation. Janet is committed to helping the corporation achieve its mission of bringing the benefits of clean energy to Vermont citizens, businesses and industries.

Janet Besser's educational career includes a BA in Political Science from Williams College, where they graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa, and an MPP in Energy from Harvard Kennedy School.
