Thomas Oakley has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Thomas started their career at Agri Industrial Plastics in 2006 as a Project Engineer. In this role, they were responsible for design and development of blow molded products, following APQP guidelines and conducting feasibility and design reviews. Thomas also worked closely with various departments, collaborated on nonconforming products, and maintained project timelines. Oakley also assisted in the development and auditing of processes and procedures in compliance with ISO 9001 standards.
In 2017, Oakley joined Nordex/Acciona Windpower as a Quality Coordinator. Thomas held this position until 2022 and was responsible for coordinating quality activities.
In 2022, Oakley joined Vernay as a New Product Development Engineer and later transitioned to the role of Quality Engineer in 2023.
Thomas Oakley holds a Master's degree in K-12 Education from Capella University, which they obtained from 2008 to 2009. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Southern University at New Orleans, spanning from 2002 to 2005. In addition to their formal education, Thomas Oakley has also obtained certifications such as ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor Certification from Kirkwood Community College in August 2018, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances certification in May 2015, and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) certification in November 2014.
