Ostra Jewell, SPHR has over 20 years of experience in human resources. Ostra'smost recent position was with Verona Pharma, where they served as the Sr Vice President of Human Resources. Prior to that, they worked at G1 Therapeutics, Inc. as the Vice President of Human Resources and at Dova Pharmaceuticals as the Senior Director of Human Resources. Ostra also held leadership positions at Coleman Research, Allscripts, Gilead Sciences, Inc., Northrop Grumman, HealthScribe, Inc., and Xybernaut Corp. Throughout their career, they have provided strategic support in areas such as employee engagement, organizational effectiveness, leadership development, and policy implementation. Ostra has a strong background in HR infrastructure establishment and management, as well as recruiting and training. Ostra obtained their MBA from George Mason University - School of Business, specializing in Human Resources and International Management, from 1995 to 1997. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies at Indiana University Bloomington, where they earned a BA with a double major in Psychology and Criminal Justice from 1990 to 1994.
