Nick Kristo

Nick Kristo is the current Chief Credit Officer at Versa Bank. Prior to their current position, they worked as an Assistant Vice President - Credit at Bank of America Global Vendor Finance from October 2000 to July 2004. In this role, they were responsible for adapting and establishing credit policies and procedures for the newly formed Canadian subsidiary of FleetBoston Bank. Nick was also responsible for the adjudication of lease and installment note transactions in the amounts of $100,000 to $10,000,000 to mid-market, large corporate and enterprise commercial accounts. These transactions usually required the financing of high-technology equipment and software.

During their time at Bank of America, Kristo was effective in using a $2 million-dollar credit limit on commercial credit requests. Nick also assisted the Vice-President and General Manager with the structuring and administrative monitoring of new Canadian based vendor programs and obtained approval of the negotiated Canadian based vendor program from Bank of America head office. In addition, they assisted existing Bank of America U.S. vendors interested in entering the Canadian marketplace by negotiating a vendor program suitable for the Canadian marketplace along with a vendor corporate structure that eliminated withholding tax concerns. Lastly, they performed all collection activity on delinquent accounts.

Kristo's experience in adaptively establishing credit policies and procedures, as well as their ability to negotiate favourable vendor programs, makes him a valuable asset to Versa Bank.

Nick Kristo started their educational career by obtaining a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) from the University of Windsor. Nick then went on to obtain a Master's Certificate in Risk Management and Business Performance from York University. Finally, they completed their education by obtaining an MBA from the University of Windsor.
