Barry Chaiken, MD has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Barry is currently the Global Head Healthcare at Versalytix since 2023. Barry Chaiken was an Adjunct Professor at Boston University from 2013 to 2020 and Chief Medical Information Officer at Infor from 2013 to 2016. Barry provided strategic guidance, served as a clinical corporate spokesperson, and led a clinical team focused on analytics at Infor.

During their tenure on the Health Information Management and Systems Society (HIMSS) Board of Directors from 2006 to 2010, they served as the Chair and Board Liaison to the HIMSS Europe Council. Barry also worked as an Associate Chief Medical Officer at BearingPoint, where they delivered thought leadership on clinical information technology, led the development of a health IT clinical content governance model, and built a quality and patient safety website.

In this position, they provided clinical liaison support, acted as a spokesperson for patient safety and information technology, and developed relationships with healthcare organizations.

Barry Chaiken, MD has a diverse education history spanning various academic institutions. Barry obtained their MD degree from the State University of New York Downstate Health Sciences University where they studied medicine. Additionally, they pursued a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree with a focus on Health Services Administration from the prestigious Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Prior to this, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology at the University at Albany, SUNY.
