Dan Cotto-Thorner PMP

Dan Cotto-Thorner PMP has a long history of work experience in the fields of project management and e-commerce. Dan began their career in 1975 as a Counselor at Sacandaga Bible Conference. In 1995, they were the Electronic Commerce Manager at Boise Cascade Office Products, where they managed the implementation of e-commerce solutions for business transactions with corporate customers. In 1997, they were the Business Information Manager at Constellation Brands, where they managed the implementation of EDI transactions between the company and its customers in a 20 state region. Dan also developed and conducted PC skills and Electronic Commerce training programs for sales force and local management. From 1998 to 2002, they were a Senior Training Specialist at Harbinger, where they managed the development of training materials for e-commerce applications and conducted general and customized on-site training for clients. From 2002 to 2006, they were a Project Manager at Laurus Technologies, where they managed the implementation of identity management applications and conducted detailed business analysis of current and planned workflows. From 2008 to 2010, they were a Senior Project Manager at Partners Consulting Services, Inc., where they project managed the implementation of a variety of identity management and single sign-on products for user access management across multiple platforms. Finally, from 2010 to the present, they have been a Project Manager/QA Engineer at Versay Solutions, where they have been project manager for the development, implementation and support of IVR applications that integrated voice and touch-tone caller inputs with a variety of back end applications for clients in the insurance and telecom industries. Dan has also managed information gathering sessions for the development of and enhancement to IVR applications, and overseen the account management of insurance and telecom clients.

Dan Cotto-Thorner PMP obtained their Project Management Professional certification from PMI, Inc in November 2007. Dan also holds a Master's degree in Communications from Wheaton College, which they obtained in 1982. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Linguistics from the University of Arizona in 1978. Dan began their education in 1971 at The Stony Brook School.
