Sonny Kim has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Starting in 1993, Sonny worked in sales and marketing at New England Securities. From there, they moved on to CMP Media, where they served as a producer, developing custom sponsorship programs and gaining insight into the behavior patterns of the business-to-business hi-tech audience. In 1999, Sonny joined B2BWorks as the Director of Product Development, spearheading the development and launch of the company's non-banner advertising product portfolio.
Sonny then joined Fulgent Media Group in 2001 as a partner, providing consultation and insight to clients on navigating and leveraging the changing media landscape. In 2008, Sonny became Vice President of Media Services at AMP Agency, a full-service experiential marketing agency. Sonny then held various roles within AMP Agency, including SVP of Digital Media and VP of Digital Marketing Account Services, where they served as a trusted digital strategy advisor to both internal teams and clients.
In 2012, Sonny joined PGR Media as the EVP of Strategy & Digital, developing strategic consultative approaches for brands looking to drive business results through media. Sonny worked closely with brand and e-commerce clients to create and execute integrated paid media strategies. Finally, in 2018, Sonny became the CEO of Verte Agency, a marketing consultancy offering marketers outside perspective on media strategy, communications planning, and measurement.
Throughout their career, Sonny has demonstrated expertise in digital marketing, media planning, and brand strategy across a wide range of industries, including retail, luxury, finance, tech, and healthcare.
