Adrian Looney

Adrian Looney is a Senior Vice President & Chief Intellectual Property Officer at Vertex Pharmaceuticals since January 2022. Prior to that, Adrian served as Vice President & Assistant General Counsel at Pfizer from January 2000 to December 2021. Adrian has extensive experience in managing and protecting intellectual property on a global scale, overseeing multiple patent practice groups and providing strategic management for various research and development units. With a background in law and chemistry, Adrian has a strong foundation for handling complex business transactions, patent drafting, litigation, and trademark matters. Additionally, Adrian has experience in patent prosecution and litigation from previous roles at law firms such as Fitzpatrick, Cella, Harper & Scinto and Cooper & Dunham LLP.
