Aman Bhandari

Aman Bhandari serves as the Vice President of Data Science at Vertex Pharmaceuticals, where responsibilities include establishing and leading the corporate data science function and overseeing generative AI initiatives. Prior experience includes roles as Executive Director of Data Science and Insights at Merck, where Aman formed the company's first formal data science team and led global partnerships for health data and analytics. Additional roles encompass advisory duties at the Boston Children's Hospital Digital Health Accelerator, senior advisory positions at the U.S. Office of the Chief Technology Officer and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, and co-founding Global Health Ideas. Aman holds an Executive Leadership Program certification from Harvard Business School, an R&D Executive Leadership Program certification from The Wharton School, a PhD in Health Services Research/Pharmacoeconomics from the University of California, Berkeley, an MPH in Epidemiology from the University of Minnesota, and a B.S. in Molecular Biology from UC Irvine.
