Andrey Peresypkin

Andrey Peresypkin currently holds the position of Senior Scientific Fellow at Vertex Pharmaceuticals, leading the Materials Discovery group since December 2017, with expertise in solid form discovery and development from Early Research to NDA, and crystallization processes. Previously, Andrey served as Director at Vertex Pharmaceuticals from 2007 to 2017, overseeing a range of pre-formulation activities and biopharmaceutical modeling. Prior experience includes a role as Research Fellow at Merck, focusing on preformulation and basic research support, and completion of a PhD in Organic Supramolecular Chemistry at Emory University, where studies were conducted under the guidance of Fred Menger. Andrey also holds a BS/MS degree in Organic Chemistry from the Higher Chemical College of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
