Benoit Igne

Benoit Igne is a highly experienced professional in the pharmaceutical industry, currently serving as Director at Vertex Pharmaceuticals since June 2019, having progressed through the ranks from Principal Scientist to Associate Director. Prior to this, Benoit held various leadership roles at GSK from February 2014 to June 2019, including Scientific Leader of Process Analytics, where responsibilities included managing a team focused on small molecule development and leading the deployment of advanced analytical tools in manufacturing processes. Benoit's expertise in Process Analytical Technology (PAT) is complemented by previous academic roles, including Adjunct Faculty at Duquesne University and research at Iowa State University, where Benoit developed significant analytical methodologies involving spectroscopy. With a Ph.D. in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering and an MBA in Entrepreneurship, Benoit combines technical expertise with business acumen to drive innovation in pharmaceutical technologies.
