Carla Luciani

Carla Luciani is a seasoned professional in the pharmaceutical and chemical engineering fields, currently serving as a Senior Director at Vertex Pharmaceuticals since December 2020. Prior experience includes roles at Eli Lilly and Company from July 2011 to December 2020, where responsibilities spanned from leading the RNA-Tx group to serving as an External Innovation Leader for new therapeutic modalities. Carla has a robust background in drug substance modeling and process development, having also held academic positions as a Research Associate and Assistant Research Professor at the University of Maryland and in various teaching roles at Universidad Nacional del Litoral. Carla Luciani holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering and has completed postdoctoral studies at both the University of Maryland and Universidad Nacional del Litoral.
