Caroline Chandra Tjin

Caroline Chandra Tjin is a highly experienced medicinal chemist currently serving as a Principal Research Scientist at Vertex Pharmaceuticals since April 2019, with a progressive career that includes roles as Senior Research Scientist and Research Scientist I in the same field. Prior to this, Tjin contributed to research as a Graduate Student Researcher and Teaching Fellow at Yale University from August 2013 to January 2019. Earlier experience includes serving as a Process Development Research Associate Scientist at QIAGEN and engaging in undergraduate research at the University of California, Berkeley, as well as a medicinal chemistry internship at Plexxikon Inc. Tjin holds a PhD in Chemistry/Chemical Biology from Yale University, a BS in Chemical Biology from the University of California, Berkeley, and an AA in Biochemistry from Pasadena City College.
