Eleanor Celeste

Eleanor Celeste, J.D., serves as the Global Communications Leader at Vertex Pharmaceuticals since March 2018, focusing on corporate communications for marketed products and research programs. Previously, Eleanor held roles such as Global Lead for Hemoglobinopathies Communications and Director of Pipeline Communications at Vertex, and Senior Advisor for Biological and Forensic Sciences at the National Institute of Standards and Technology. Experience also includes positions at the Executive Office of the President, where Eleanor was Assistant Director for Biomedical and Forensic Sciences, and roles at the AAAS and Presidential Commission for the Study of Bioethical Issues. Eleanor's early career includes outreach and field organizing for Bennet for Colorado. Academically, Eleanor earned a Doctor of Law from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology, Feminist Gender Sexuality Studies, and Government from Wesleyan University, with additional studies at prestigious institutions including Georgetown University, Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, and the University of Oxford.
