Meera Chawla

Meera Chawla is an accomplished professional in the field of chemical engineering with a strong focus on biomedical applications. Currently serving as Associate Director of CMC Technical Operations at Vertex Pharmaceuticals since May 2024, Meera previously held similar roles at Alpine Immune Sciences, Inc., and demonstrated expertise in purification process development. Prior experience includes significant positions at Lundbeck, Alder BioPharmaceuticals, Inc., Amgen, and Genentech, where Meera contributed to process engineering and development initiatives. Meera completed a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering with a specialization in Biomedical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering (with Distinction) from the University of Calgary, along with additional training in Biotechnology Project Management at the University of Washington.
