Rachel Zahigian

Rachel Zahigian is a highly experienced biostatistician currently serving as a Principal Biostatistician at Vertex Pharmaceuticals, a position held since September 2019, after previously working as a Senior Biostatistician. Prior to this role, Rachel worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Florida from August 2015 to August 2019, where the dissertation focused on improving the design of novel two-stage adaptive clinical trials. Rachel also gained experience as a Teaching Assistant and completed an ORISE Summer Internship at the FDA in 2018, during which a poster was developed on the causal effect of longitudinal drug exposure on efficacy. Rachel's educational background includes a PhD and an MS in Biostatistics from the University of Florida and a BS in Mathematics from Boston College. Additionally, Rachel participated in a study abroad program at the National University of Ireland, Maynooth.
