Saya Dempsey

Saya Dempsey, CPA, MBA, is a finance leader with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, currently serving as Senior Director and Head of Global Commercial Finance at Vertex Pharmaceuticals since May 2020. In this role, Saya acts as a finance business partner to the Chief Operating Officer, overseeing various functions including Global Commercial and Corporate Communications. Previously at Biogen, Saya held several key finance positions, leading initiatives in brand finance and operational planning for the US Commercial business, while also enhancing financial systems and processes. Earlier career experiences include significant auditing roles at Colgate-Palmolive and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Saya holds an MBA from Columbia University and dual master's degrees in Accounting from USC Marshall School of Business, and a Bachelor of Science in Management and Accounting from Boston College.
