Sean Daughtry

Sean Daughtry is an experienced professional in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries, currently serving as the Senior Director of Analytical Sciences and Technology at Vertex Pharmaceuticals since August 2014. In this role, Sean oversees small molecule drug product analytical support for global manufacturing operations and plays a critical leadership role in addressing manufacturing and analytical issues while promoting continuous improvement. Prior experience includes various leadership positions at Vertex, focusing on Process Analytical Technology (PAT) and technical operations, as well as roles at Metabolix, where Sean managed laboratory testing and chemical hygiene practices. Additionally, Sean served as President of the Greater Boston Morehouse College Alumni Association, providing significant scholarships to students. Sean holds a Master's degree in Inorganic Chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Morehouse College.
