Stephanie Yang

Stephanie Yang is an accomplished computational genomics researcher with extensive experience in the field. From January 2022 to February 2025, Stephanie served as a Senior Research Scientist at Vertex Pharmaceuticals, previously holding the position of Computational Genomics Research Scientist. Prior experience includes a notable tenure at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine as a Graduate Student from September 2016 to November 2021, where Stephanie led research projects on gene expression and genetic variation, resulting in three first-author publications, and mentored students. Earlier roles involved significant research and teaching positions at the National Institutes of Health and Bryn Mawr College, including pioneering work on iPSC models for Tay-Sachs disease. Stephanie holds a PhD in Human Genetics from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Bryn Mawr College.
