Travis Delano

Travis DeLano is a Research Scientist in Medicinal Chemistry at Vertex Pharmaceuticals, with experience dating back to 2015 in various roles related to chemistry and drug discovery. Prior positions include Research Assistant at the Laboratory for Neglected Disease Drug Discovery, where synthesis and characterization of anti-trypanosomal compounds for African Sleeping Sickness were carried out, and internships at Takeda Pharmaceuticals and Vertex Pharmaceuticals, focusing on the synthesis of anti-cancer compounds and the development of methodologies for photoredox reactions. Educationally, Travis holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Caltech and a B.S. in Chemistry from Northeastern University.
