Xingzhong Zeng

Xingzhong Zeng is a seasoned professional in the pharmaceutical industry with extensive experience in chemical process development and drug substance delivery. Currently serving as a Scientific Fellow and Scientific Director at Vertex Pharmaceuticals since March 2023, Zeng oversees late-stage process development, raw material outsourcing management, and collaborations with global contract development and manufacturing organization partners. Prior to this role, Zeng was a Senior Principal Scientist at Boehringer Ingelheim from March 2007 to March 2023, leading efforts in small molecule synthesis and contributing significantly to various aspects of process chemistry, including scale-up and regulatory support. Zeng's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Purdue University and advanced degrees from Nankai University.
