Ian Whytock

Ian Whytock is a Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Tidal Venture Partners, a fund focused on pre-seed to seed investments in the Atlantic Canadian ecosystem. In addition to this role, Whytock serves as a Board Observer and Pre-Seed Round Lead for Pressto and Wellnify.ai, and has held similar positions with MIMOSA Diagnostics and Symbodi. Formerly a Board Observer and Seed Round Lead for Bright Breaks, Whytock has experience in strategy and innovation as a Manager at The Barrington Consulting Group and as Chief Strategy Officer for Cove Drinks. Whytock is also a graduate of VC Lab, the leading venture capital accelerator. Academic credentials include an MA and BA Hons cum laude from Stellenbosch University, a BA in Classics from the University of King's College, and a Bachelor's Degree in Arts and Social Sciences from Dalhousie University.
