Rick Norberg

CEO at Vertikal6

As CEO of Vertikal6, Rick empowers his team to take clients’ use of technology to the next level. He’s constantly striving to make Vertikal6 a truly great place to work – as evidenced by its five-time inclusion among Providence Business News’s Best Places to Work.

Prior to becoming Vertikal6’s CEO, he started RhodeOne Technology Solutions in 2002. The company provided email hosting, Sharepoint, CRM, backup, custom hosting, and cloud services to resellers across New England. In 2010, he co-created AtrionSMB and was instrumental in growing the company from $300,000 in revenue in its first year to over $5 million. This success earned the company a spot on Providence Business News’s Fastest Growing Companies list in 2014. Rick was awarded Providence Business News’s 40 Under 40 award in 2012 for his career successes as well as the strength of his commitment to making a difference in his community. Before this, he held Sales Engineering roles at Dell, Symantec, and Xevo.

Rick is deeply involved with Vertikal6’s greater community. He has served on various boards including Junior Achievement of Rhode Island and the Cranston Chamber of Commerce. As head of the Boy Scouts of America STEM committee for Narragansett Council, he is focused on improving programs at Scouts Day Camp and increasing STEM education—which will be vital for the next generation’s success. Rick holds a Bachelor of Science in Management and Computer Information Systems from Bryant University, and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE).
