Mehrzad Khakpour, PhD

Mehrzad Khakpour, PhD is currently the Chief Technology Officer at Vertos Medical, where Mehrzad leads teams responsible for Upstream Marketing, Engineering & Clinical Research, and Product Development. Mehrzad also serves as the Vice President of Research and Development at Nuteric LLC, providing consulting and advisory services. Prior to their current roles, Mehrzad was the Chief Technology Officer at Sonendo, Inc. where Mehrzad helped take the company from inception to IPO. Mehrzad has a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Riverside, along with additional degrees from Northwestern University, University of Minnesota, and Sharif University of Technology.
