Dennis Kunkel

Dennis Kunkel has extensive experience in the mortgage industry. Dennis served as the Vice President of Loan Acquisition at Verus Mortgage Capital, where they oversaw the teams responsible for due diligence, collateral review, data analysis, loan documentation, and purchase quality. Dennis also managed relationships with external partners and ensured customer service. Prior to that, they worked at Wells Fargo Home Mortgage as a National Underwriting Production Evaluation Officer and a Consumer Underwriter, Portfolio Credit Office. In these roles, they monitored lending activity, interpreted policy, and underwrote large, complex loan requests. Earlier in their career, Kunkel held positions as the General Manager at Von Bank, the President at JBN Financial Services, and the President at Mortgage One Inc. At Mortgage One Inc, they managed daily operations, originated and underwrote mortgages, and performed compliance audits.

Dennis Kunkel obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting and Management from the University of North Dakota, where they studied from 1980 to 1984. Subsequently, they pursued further education at Minot State University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Education from 1985 to 1987.
